Atlantis Hotel (Atlantis The Palm)
Atlantis is a five-star hotel built on an artificial island (one of the three islands of the Palms, the largest man-made islands in the world, visible even from space). The resort is accessible via an underwater tunnel with a six-lane highway.
General Information
The Atlantis Hotel has one of the largest man-made ecosystems in the world, represented in a huge labyrinth aquarium with 65,000 sea creatures (among them dolphins and a 15-meter tiger shark). The aquarium is decorated with the ruins of the sunken Atlantis – after all, the hotel is named after it. Next to it stands a huge gilded chair of the “ruler of Atlantis”, in which tourists like to be photographed.
In the richly decorated lobby of the hotel you can see a wonderful installation of colored glass. Several exquisite restaurants, 1539 of the most expensive comfortable rooms complete the picture.
The hotel’s elegant rooms are decorated in Arabic and nautical style, and the balconies offer beautiful views. Amenities include a seating area, minibar, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, complimentary tea/coffee making facilities and a bathroom with bathtub and shower.
The modern Yuan Restaurant serves traditional Sichuan Chinese cuisine. The excellent Nobu Restaurant offers modern Japanese cuisine with an Arabic accent.
The Middle East’s largest water park, Aquaventure, features the Neptune Tower and Poseidon Tower with thrilling water slides. For younger guests, there is an in-water playground. The ShuiQi Spa offers facial and body treatments. The gym is staffed by professional trainers.
